1AHR: With the first vintage Philip Nelles has succeeded in creating an almost prototypical Ahr-Burgundy: Medium ruby red with a violet shimmer.
In the nose a fresh, animating blend of cassis, cherry and herbs. On the palate it has everything a wine like this needs: power, structure, fine tannin structure, fruity sweetness.
Despite the 14% alcohol by volume, this is not a fatty part, but shows finesse, so it is something for elegant drinkers. So brand wine is fun. (Mario Scheuermann)
