2017 Nelles Pinot Noir fine tart
Pinot Noir is probably one of the earliest varieties selected from the wild vines. Charles the Fat brought it to Lake Constance in 884. In the 18th century the variety came from Burgundy to the Ahr and is the most important red wine vine here with over 300 ha.
This noble and very old grape variety requires a lot of care and makes high demands on climate and soil and naturally feels extremely comfortable in our steep slate slopes.
Spätburgunder wines are full-bodied and velvety with a fruity aroma and nuances of almond. It has a delicate scent of cherry and blackberry to blackcurrant. The Pinot Noir is drunk at 16 to 18 degrees. It accompanies roasts or game and also the cheese platter.
