2016 Peter Kriechel Ahr Pinot Noir S 1,5 litre
The Spätburgunder is also known as "Pinot Noir" and is the leading red wine vine in Germany, whose finest wines come from the Ahr. One also often finds rosé wines or Weißherbste and the very popular "Blanc de Noir", a white wine from red grapes, from the Spätburgunder grape. On the steep slopes of the Ahr, this vine finds the optimal conditions and accounts for over 50% of our total vine area.
2016 Peter Kriechel Ahr Pinot Noir S
"S" is the winery's internal designation for Selection. With these S-wines the basis for the elevated quality is already laid in the vineyard by a reduction of the harvest quantity. The full-bodied S-wines have at least late harvest quality and are vinified in the classical way.
