Characterization: Despite its power, it still possesses the elegance of Pinot Noir. It is a Burgundy with many facets. Toasty aromas accompany the typical Pinot Noir notes (cherry) and a wonderful minerality (clay soil with slate). A wine from one of the best steep slopes in the Ahr Valley (Große Gewächs vineyard).
Recommendation: It pairs well with game and beef dishes, as well as spicy, full-flavored cheeses.
