The Nelles winery is located in Heimersheim in the lower part of the Ahr valley. The approximately 8.5 hectares of partly very steep, slate covered vineyards stretch from Heimersheim to Ahrweiler. Here mainly red wines are cultivated. The foundation of the winery can be traced back to the year 1479 - 1497N. Among the most famous sites are the Heimersheimer Landskrone, Heimersheimer Burggarten, Heimersheimer Kapellenberg and the Bad Neuenahrer Sonnenberg
